Jorgen Leth did not handle the
obstructions very well initially but all of the projects were successful in the
end. The first project was not very
successful in my opinion I think he had trouble with the twelve frames. However, the cartoon project, which he
“hated” the most the most, was the most successful in changing the perspective
and idea of the original film, in my opinion.
I think after working through the previous obstructions helped Jorgen in
the latter.
I think the obstructions were
stumbling blocks during the creative process.
However, they were effective in the final project because it caused Leth
to think out of the box and do things out of his normal comfort zone to make a
creative finished product, the cartoon project is a perfect example.
Yes the film did help me when
thinking about my project. After watching, my idea changed significantly, the
second project when he could only use himself influenced my idea. Influences from the style of the shot, him
getting dressed and undressed, and using himself will be seen in my project.
